BarGO's Safe Night Initiative is a state-partnered, certified Narcan training program built specifically for bars and restaurants in Illinois. Our team comes directly to your establishment — or connects virtually — trains your staff, evaluates your venue, and provides free Narcan kits at absolutely no charge to you. The Narcan supply is fully funded and free.
Narcan kits distributed through the BarGO Safe Night Initiative are supplied through the Illinois Department of Human Services Drug Overdose Prevention Program (IDHS DOPP) at no cost to your establishment. BarGO is committed to open community access — establishments that are unable to participate in a paid training session are encouraged to contact us directly to discuss free kit access options. Standard Training
Regardless of staff size
- One-hour on-site or virtual training session
- Venue safety evaluation included
- Free Narcan kits — customized quantity based on POS systems, bathrooms & entrances (minimum 4 kits)
- Official BarGO Certificate of Completion — valid for one year
- Requires minimum 75% staff attendance to issue certificate
Community Free Tier
For establishments with 5 or fewer employees
- One-hour on-site or virtual training session
- Venue safety evaluation included
- Free Narcan kits — customized quantity based on POS systems, bathrooms & entrances (minimum 4 kits)
- Official BarGO Certificate of Completion — valid for one year
- Requires 100% staff attendance to issue certificate
